Lanzor 30 mg – 14 Capsules
Lansoprazole is a medication that belongs to a class of medicines called “proton pump inhibitors”. It works by blocking the channels that cause acidity in your stomach and is used for multiple indications in adults.
Lanzor capsule helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus.
This medication is used in short treatment.
Indications:
• Duodenal ulcers (sore that forms at the beginning of your small intestine)
• H Pylori eradication (a bacteria that can live in your gut and cause ulcers) to prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers
• Benign gastric ulcer (non-cancerous sore that forms in your stomach)
• NSAID-associated ulcer (sore that forms in your gut due to excessive use of NSAIDs)
• GERD (acid reflux also known as “heartburn”).

Cautions:
• Allergic to Lansoprazole or any other drug contents.
• stomach cancer.
• Prolonged and multiple daily uses of this medication may lead to osteoporosis.
• Long-term use of this medication may cause low magnesium levels in your blood.
• Pregnant and breastfeeding.
Interactions:
• Nelfinavir, Atazanavir and saquinavir (used to treat HIV infection).
• Clopidogrel and warfarin
• Proton pump inhibitors (e.g. Pantoprazole, lansoprazole, rabeprazole or omeprazole) or an H2 antagonist (e.g. Ranitidine or famotidine) or Cisapride.
• Ketoconazole, itraconazole, Voriconazole and clarithromycin.
• Erlotinib
• Methotrexate
• Digoxin
• Citalopram, imipramine or clomipramine
• Diazepam
• Phenytoin
• Cilostazol
• Rifampicin
• Tacrolimus
• St. John’s wort
How to use:
Recommended dose and treatment duration are individualized based on age and indication.
Usual dose ranges from 15 to 30mg once daily.
Frequency is increased to twice or thrice daily if used for the eradication of H Pylori.
